Board

• The President, Vice-President and department heads meet weekly to share progress, discuss problems and make decisions.
• The Board also meets with Técnico, companies and partner clubs to discuss collaborations and upcoming activities.
• Between meetings, members coordinate the calendar, assign tasks and check progress with the departments involved.

• An annual strategy and a short list of priorities every department shares.
• The club's institutional relationships with Técnico and with partner organisations, and the decision about which ones to pursue. External Affairs does the work of opening and keeping them.
• Events involving several departments, and the recorded decisions, named owners and deadlines behind them.

The Board is chosen through TIC's election and appointment process, rather than general recruitment. Members take on these roles after gaining experience within the club.

Board members need to listen to different views, make decisions and communicate them clearly. The role also involves keeping track of agreed tasks and helping departments work together.

The Board decides the club's direction, coordinates work shared by several departments and carries TIC's institutional responsibility. Each department still owns its specialist work and day-to-day execution.

Departments produce the research, tools, events and member development in their own fields. The Board aligns the work, resolves dependencies between departments and represents the club externally.

External Affairs contacts partner organisations, arranges activities and maintains those relationships. The Board agrees on partnership priorities and is responsible for TIC's institutional relationships. The head of External Affairs sits on the Board.

After a meeting, the Board makes sure the people involved know what was agreed and what they need to do next. It checks progress while leaving the specialist work to each department.
